When I first started training with John, I had only planned to lose body fat. He started me on a total body cardio using full body movements and low-impact weights. That would be my routine for the next two months.After the two months has passed, he had suggested that I was ready for building muscle. I was very interested and opted to begin. The full body routine got me prepared to lift what he called "high intensity weights". This will aid in muscle growth.
Before we started on that, a total body assessment was performed. I was weighing in 167 lbs in a 5'8 frame. I could not do any sit-ups or push-ups. I came to realize that I was in the worst shape of my life.
But now I am currently weighing in at 145 lbs. I have more energy in everything that I do. I can do sit-ups and push-ups with very little effort. I have increased my pressing strength by 14 lbs on my second growth assessment of the year.
After being on this program, I now understand that my weight was not the issue. It was my body fat. I am losing the body fat and gaining weight in muscle. My goal is to lose 10 more lbs of body fat.
John has me lifting heavy weights that i would have not been able to do myself. I am seeing muscles in different places of my body, places i wouldn't think muscles could be. I am feeling really great about myself. This program far exceeded my expectations.
